Media Recap: Spring 2025

Yapping about the media I took a look at in Spring 2025. Mini-yaps under the cut.

Using my blog as a substitute for a Twitter/Bluesky media thread, because I am incapable of remembering to update those things. I watched some movies and shows and played some games.

Bloom Into You

Reread the manga and rewatched the anime. GOATed on both counts. Just as good as I remembered. 'Nuff said.

Adachi and Shimamura

I've been meaning to watch this anime, seeing as I like yuri and people seem to like this one. It was okay. The romance between the leads was strong, but I hate that one loli alien side character. She radiates bad vibes. I did some googling and it seems she exists solely to facilitate a cinematic universe (or whatever the term would be for light novels, because that's the source material). Obnoxious. Put that astronaut alien back in the ocean public pool.

Ash vs Evil Dead

I liked the Evil Dead movies, so I figured I ought to get around to the TV show. It was pretty good! Lucy Lawless was hot.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes

Strong aesthetic. Some of the puzzles made me bring out the conspiracy board. Would recommend.

Lycoris Recoil

I watched the first episode back when it was airing a few years ago and it didn't really click with me, but I decided to give it another chance recently and I had a good time. Fun!

Slay the Princess

I got this a few months back 'cause it was in a bundle with In Stars and Time (actual 10/10 game btw), but I only got around to playing it recently. Needless to say it was Very Good.

Perfect Blue

Flawless movie. Iconic.

The House in Fata Morgana

Awesome visual novel. Feels almost classical in a way.

Code Geass

Lelouch is literally meirl. This anime is so ass it's kino. I love it.

All the Scream Movies

1, 5, and 6 are the good ones. 2 has a dogshit twist but the rest of the film's good. 4 has a great ending but the rest of the film was forgettable. 3 was ass but it was still fun.

That's all folks!
