I made a theme!
Date: July 27th, 2024That's right! I made a theme! For nekoweb! If you have the Stylus extension, you can install my theme here. More stuff under the cut.
I've been wanting to make a Nekoweb theme for a while, but I was holding off on it until the layout change went live (which happened about two weeks ago, and I made my theme three days later). It was a little tricky to get it working properly (at first I accidentally had it affect all sites on Nekoweb instead of just Nekoweb itself, oops!), but I figured it out eventually. So now I'm pleased! It's a pretty basic palette swap (using colors colorpicked from Hatsune Miku), but I'm happy with how it turned out for the most part. The theme is called Neko39.
After that, I visited Texas for a few days! I was in Dallas for an Epithet Erased meet-n-greet, which was really fun! Everyone was super nice and I got my book and some merch signed (I had figures of Molly and Giovanni as well as a Phoenica plushie, which was perfect because their VAs were there!). I also got a pretty sick print, and a couple things for my sister. I could write an essay on how much Prison of Plastic means to me, but I think I'll save that for another time. I also had dinner with a friend! Texas has incredible BBQ.
I've been playing the Toeto minigame, and it's super tedious. It'd be a lot easier if I could just peek inside to find the unlock conditions for everything, but I tried and I'm stumped in that department. I found assets and stuff though, which is neat. I don't want to give up on the game just yet. At the moment, I have two immediate goals for the DIVA Room (my big dumb shrine):
- Add as much info about Toeto as I can to the page on it. (technically complete, but seeing as I haven't reached the credits...)
- Add a gallery to the page on the lost prototype of PjD1st.
I'm contemplating adding gallery sections to the Contests page as well, but I think it might be better to save it for a Big Franchise-Spanning Gallery? Sorta like how Empty Movement does it. But I'm still undecided. I'm also considering making pages for 1. the game's scoring system and 2. actually cut content, but again, I'm on the fence.
Once I'm finished documenting everything related to the first game, I'll have to move onto 2nd and extend. I was originally planning on having them be one subsite (seeing as extend was always intended to be "2.5"), but I'm getting second thoughts. We'll see. 2nd will get a unique layout based on its UI, of course.
I'm also thinking of beginning work on broader pages like the Audiology, Archives, and the aforementioned Gallery. They're pretty daunting tasks, but I think they'll be easier to manage if I take it one step at a time.
